Rates

The camp is suitable for 120 persons. Our own youth camping season is the month of June, then for the remainder of the year the Camp may be rented by the week, weekend, or a single day by any church, regardless of denomination, and agencies of other Christian denominational groups, Christian parachurch groups, and non-profit groups whose purpose and objectives for renting the Camp are compatible* with those agencies stated above. Full food service is available.

* In order to maintain a quality camping environment, the following items and activities are restricted from camp property: pets of any kind, skateboards, roller blades, travel trailers, campers, tents and the use and possession of: smoking and chewing tobacco, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, firearms, fireworks and/or firecrackers of any kind, and any activity deemed unchristian by the camp board.

These rental rates include the use of the dining hall, classrooms, chapel, fellowship hall, pavilion, swimming pool (heated June 1-Sept. 3) and the grounds. Kitchen/food preparation is for Camp Sonrise Mountain employees only (due to Maryland State camping regulations. Please contact the Camp Agent (Steve White 301-746-5760) for further information concerning these rates and to make reservations.

1. RENTAL RATES:

Guest House:

$32.00 per camper per night

2. ONE DAY RENTAL RATE:(no overnights) includes use of dining hall, chapel, fellowship hall, pavilion and grounds

Add-on Options:
A. Swimming pool (heated June 1-Sept. 3) and two cabins for changing clothes;

4. SERVICE CHARGES:

A. Janitorial service per hour - $50.00 (this is an additional charge added to your bill if the camp is left excessively unclean or for any damages that your group may have caused during your stay)

B. Late payment fee(added to unpaid balance from date of invoice):
30 to 60 days: 5%;
61 to 90 days: 15%
10% will be added for each additional 30 days or fraction thereof.

C. Renters will be charged for any damages and/or labor for repairs.

5. DEPOSITS REQUIRED (Not refundable if canceled 60 days or less of scheduled date)

One day rental, no overnight: $100.00
1 to 3 days rental: $300.00
4 days or more rental: $500.00

About Us

Mission

Camp Sonrise Mountain is a non-profit corporation that exists for the purpose of providing facilities and an environment where the gospel of Jesus Christ may be proclaimed and where individuals are encouraged to seek and find greater meaning for their lives in Christ.

History

The camp is part of the Allegheny Region Churches of God (ARC) and was built in1965. The original land was the Maryland portion of the Rodahaver farm donated to the Churches of God for the purposes of building a camp. Many additions have occured over the years to make the camp one of the best facilities in the area.
